Vålerenga Football consists of 1400 active members, spread across over 100 teams ranging from children's and youth football to senior teams, notably including the women's team.

Vålerenga Fotball Women is one of Scandinavia's best and most ambitious women's teams. All players are on professional contracts, and we have a dedicated team of experienced coaches, specialists, and medical personnel. In addition, we have the best facilities in Northern Europe.

We consider ourself an advocate for equal oppertunities, and have a top academy where girls, (just like boys) have the opportunity to develop into professional football players.

Vålerenga established a women's team for the first time in 1982, and in 2011, the club promoted to the top division in Norway for the first time, and have stayed there ever since.

The past few years have been very successful, and in 2020, we won both the league and the cup for the first time! In 2021, we won another cup, and in 2023, we became league champions for the second time. Five Vålerenga players were selected for the Toppserien's team of the year at the end of the season, and Karina Sævik was named the very best: Player of the Year 2023. Olaug Tvedten was the top scorer with her 13 league goals.

Vålerenga aims to be a team that plays Champions League football every year, and last season, we were very close to reaching the group stage of the tournament after defeating both FC Minsk and Celtic FC in the qualifiers. In the decisive play-off matches, Real Madrid proved too strong, but we can still look back on a year in which the club has taken new steps.

Our ambitions for 2024 are no less than last year's achievements, and we believe in qualifying for the group stage of the Champions League, with the goal of establishing ourselves among the top ten teams in Europe.
